Established in 1921, the Montana Taxpayers Association is focused on finding solutions for equitable taxation and fiscal policy in Montana and proving its standing as a reputable source of non-partisan, common-sense ideas on the subject of state taxation.
We are the third oldest state organization and are financed solely through voluntary dues from members who live and do business in Montana. We have members throughout the state and a Board of Directors that represents Montana’s basic economic groups.
Our members represent businesses and trade associations both large and small from a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, transportation, energy, utilities, telecommunications, healthcare and natural resources.
The Mission of the Montana Taxpayers Association is to be Montana’s most trusted resource for nonpartisan tax and government spending information. MonTax will work with both the public and private sectors to develop fair, equitable and predictable tax policies and to insure that government provides value to the public.
Our board members represent diverse businesses and trade and economic groups that are impacted by state tax policies. The board drives the association to serve the needs and address the concerns of all Montana taxpayers.
