About Us

Representing businesses and trade groups across industries and the state

Established in 1921, the Montana Taxpayers Association is focused on finding solutions for equitable taxation and fiscal policy in Montana and proving its standing as a reputable source of non-partisan, common-sense ideas on the subject of state taxation.

We are the third oldest state organization and are financed solely through voluntary dues from members who live and do business in Montana. We have members throughout the state and a Board of Directors that represents Montana’s basic economic groups.

Our members represent businesses and trade associations both large and small from a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, transportation, energy, utilities, telecommunications, healthcare and natural resources.
